Bloodlines 08: Reunion . . Several days after the events in Conquest 03: Loose Ends .
The Communications Centre of the Jedi Order on Tython was where Jedi Master Nayam Burl-Soru spent much of her time. Rarely leaving the Temple, Nayam was responsible for the web of communications that existed between the Order and the governments it aided. It was Nay's task to organise missions, keep Jedi Masters in the field updated and so on.
Nayam Burl-Soru: "Good work Master Loskin. We'll see you back at the Temple in a few days."
Rachel Soru: "Everything alright mum?"
Nay smiled as her daughter approached her.
Nayam Burl-Soru: "Just fine dear."
Rachel Soru: "I don't know how you can stay cooped up in here all the time. Don't you want to get out there and do something?"
Nayam Burl-Soru: "Well, I suppose that would be nice. I haven't left the Temple in so long."
Rachel: "Perfect! I could come with you, a mother-daughter team!"
Nayam Burl-Soru: "Unstoppable! Well I suppose, we have had reports that Master Da has been spotted on Kamino."
Rachel Soru: "Then that is where we will go! We have find Master Da."
Nayam chewed her bottom lip.
Nayam Burl-Soru: "Hm, alright then. I suppose it wouldn't hurt to look."
Nayam Burl-Soru: "Master Bordo!"
Jordan Bordo hurried over and bowed at the Council Member.
Jordan Bordo: "Can I help you Master Burl?"
Nayam Burl-Soru: "Jordan, Rachel and I are taking a trip to Kamino. I am leaving you in charge of the comunications."
Jordan Bordo: "Understood Master, I'll keep an eye on things."
As Nay and her daughter left the room Jordan called out to them.
Jordan Bordo: "And may the Force be with you both!"
Kamino, one day later. Jedi Master Goruq Da sat quietly in the corner of the laboratory, watching Michael Soru, now Darth Soru, pace impatiently before Darth Ircune.
Darth Soru: "How much longer will this take Darth Ircune? I have other matters to attend to."
Darth Ircune: "Be patient Lord Soru. Genius, after all, takes time to manifest."
In the corner Master Da snorted.
Darth Soru: "Something funny Master Da?"
Goruq Da: "Patience. You were never very good at that."
Darth Soru: "One can only wait so long before realising you are being held back!"
Goruq Da: "Ah yes and we were clearly wrong to be weary about what we taught you."
Goruq raised an eyebrow and smiled at Michael. Enraged, the Sith Lord swung out and struck Goruq's jaw, knocking out the Jedi Master.
Darth Soru: "Call me when something happens Darth Ircune."
Ircune couldn't help but smile slyly as Soru stormed away.
Darth Soru: "I will show them! I am more powerful than any of them! Soon they will learn to respect me, even Master Da!"
Michael stopped, suddenly realising how far he'd walked into the cloning facility on Kamino. It was an older facility. Used by the Empire during the Galactic Civil War there had been a huge battle here between the Empire and the Rebellion led by Jedi Master Rham Kota. The facility had been destroyed during the battle and never rebuilt. This part of the facility however, was relatively undamaged.
Darth Soru scanned the room, his eyes falling on a dark cloning vat with something floating inside it.
Slowly Michael stepped forwards, brushing the dust off the nearby computer pannel. He pressed a button.
Computer: "Activation sequence initiated. 0.7% of batch remaining, amounting to one final specimen. What are your orders Lord Vader?"
Michael stepped back, frowning.
Darth Soru: "Computer, Lord Vader is dead. I am his replacement, Darth Soru."
Computer: "Authorization accepted, welcome Darth Soru. Would you like to activate the final clone?"
Darth Soru: "Activate it."
Computer: "Very well. Activating in three... Two..."
Computer: "... One."
The tank slid open and a figure crumpled to the floor. Darth Ircune hurried over and put her hand on the man's shoulders.
Darth Ircune: "I have done it! I have created the perfect warrior!"
The Arconan lifted her comlink and spoke excitedly into it.
Darth Ircune: "Lord Soru, come quickly! He is here, he is alive!"
Goruq looked suspiciously at the prone man.
Goruq Da: "What have you done Ircune?"
Darth Ircune produced a lightsaber from her belt.
Darth Ircune: "I have created the perfect warrior. I took strands of DNA from you and Darth Soru and combined them. I now have a warrior with your strength, Darth Soru's skill with the Dark Side and with both of your knowledge."
As the man stood up, Goruq noticed the Cathar ears and eyes on the body of a human, a cross over between himself and Michael Soru.
Darth Ircune: "Allow me to introduce you to Darth Feelix."
Darth Feelix: "Master, I am yours to command."
Ircune handed Feelix the lightsaber.
Darth Ircune: "Take this weapon Feelix. Kill the Jedi Master, he is no longer of any use to us."
Darth Feelix activated his blade, watching the orange light spring up before him.
He moved slowly over to Goruq Da.
Darth Feelix: "Are you afraid Jedi?"
Goruq Da: "Fear is not something I endulge in. There is no death, there is the Force."
Suddnely Feelix grunted as he was thrown off his feet by a wave of energy.
At the same time, a yellow lightsaber swung through the air and severed Master Da's shackles.
Goruq turned to see Nayam and Rachel Soru entering the lab.
Nayam Burl-Soru: "Goruq, catch!"
Goruq reached out and caught his lightsaber, activating the purple blade and adopting a defensive position.
Rachel Soru: "Surrender Ircune."
Darth Ircune: "Ha! I think you underestimate the power of Darth Feelix. Attack them now!"
Darth Feelix: "Yes, Master."
Darth Soru: "Stop!"
Rachel Soru: "Michael!"
Nayam Burl-Soru: "Michael, oh Michael."
Darth Soru: "Shut up mother! You should not have come here."
Nayam Burl-Soru: "Michael, stop this please. This isn't you, I know you, you are my son. ROvaniss has twisted your mind. COme back to me please, I love you my son. You don't have to do this! If you come back we can make things right again, they can go back to how they were."
Darth Soru: "You think I want that? You think I enjoyed being opressed by you and dad? I hated it! I hate you, I hate Rachel! I hate the Jedi and what you stand for!"
Michael smiled menacingly as he saw how badly his words had hurt his mother.
Darth Soru: "I am a Sith! I have power now, I do not need you, I do not want you. Soon things will change, I will be Emperor you will see!"
Rachel Soru: "Michael, please. DOn't say such terrible things."
Darth Soru: "Shut up! I have waited for my chance, and now have it."
Behind Michael a door slid slowly open.
Darth Soru: "Let me introduce you to the last surviving clone of Starkiller, my new Apprentice."
Before anyone could say anything, the Sith leapt forwards at the Jedi.
Darth Soru: "You are outnumbered and outmatched sister. You cannot win here, think about it though. You could the SIth! Become one of us, a true warrior!"
Rachel Soru: "And a liar and a coward? I think not brother."
There was a hiss and spit as the lightsabers clashed together, burning the air around them.
Suddenly, from the centre of the room there was an explosion of energy that sent everyone flying backwards.
From the doorway stepped Grand Master Harash Soru.
Harash Soru: "Enough."
The Grand Master walked slowly around to stand in front of his Jedi.
Harash Soru: "Kamino is not yours to control Sith. Your operations end today."
Darth Soru: "And what are you going to do about it?"
Harash Soru: "Search your feelings Michael. You know that you cannot win this batle."
In the corner of the room, Darth Ircune broke away and fled.
Darth Soru: "Coward! It does not matter, we are Sith! The Dark SIde gives us strength, we will kill you all!"
Harash Soru: "Nay, go after Ircune. Everyone else, lets clean up here."
Darth Ircune stood nervously on the edge of a platform, looking into the waters below.
Darth Ircune: "Oh where is it?!"
Nyam Burl-Soru: "Do you really think you can go back Ircune? They will kill you for running."
Darth Ircune: "I... My experiments will save me!"
Nayam Burl-Soru: "No Ircune they wont. Stop this, come back with us where your inventions can be put to good use. You will have a good life with us, protected from your Sith Masters."
Darth Ircune: "No! The Dark Side is the perfection of the Force!"
With a hiss, the Arconan Sith Lord spun around and attacked Nay.
The two battled back and forth accross the platform until Ircune unleashed a bolt of lightining at Nay.
Darth Ircune: "I... I am Sith! I will live! You, you cannot take this from me!"
Ircune jumped out of Nay's reach as the Jedi lunged at the Sith Lord.
Nayam Burl-Soru: "We can make things better Ircune. Just please, put down your lightsaber and come back to the Jedi."
Darth Ircune: "No! No, you can't make me!"
Ircune charged wildly at Nay, her eyes consumed with a wild fury.
At the last moment however, Nay jumped into the air, using the Force to push Ircune off the platform as she spun in the air.
Ircune shrieked as she plumetted off of the platform towards the raging sea below.
Nayam Burl-Soru: "Farewell, Darth Ircune."
Nay suddenly grunted as a Force push slammed into her back, knocking her off of the platform after Ircune.
Darth Soru hurried forward, paying no attention to the disappearance of his mother.
Starkiller: "What now?"
There was a rumble in the distance followed by a series of flashing lights.
Darth Soru: "Escape."
Harash Soru hurried out on to the platform in time to see the Sith ship vanish into the fog of Kamino, but the Jedi Master was not bothered with the Sith at the moment.
Harash Soru: "Nay?"
Rachel Soru: "Mum? Where are you?"
A hand suddenly swung over the edge of the platform, searching for something to grab on to.
Harash Soru hurried forward and helped his wife up onto the platform, they hugged each other warmly.
Nayam Burl-Soru: "I totally had that."
Harash Soru: "Of course."
The Jedi stood looking up at the sky.
Goruq Da: "Can I ask something Hara?"
Harash Soru: "Go ahead Goruq."
Goruq Da: "Are all your family reunions this... Destructive?"
And despite everything that had happened, the four Jedi laughed together.
