M.O. Round 1- Give us the Key! . "You can keep doing that forever, the dog is never going to move. " -Captain Jack Sparrow . My first entry in the 2012 MocOlympics ROUND 1- HOUND DOG Ahoy! Welcome to my first ever MO entry. I am excited to follow the competition and fun this year! When I read the categories, I was immediately drawn to "Hound Dog." For those that know me, I am a huge Disney fan, so anyway to think outside the box and combine it into a MO category is a win-win situation in my book ;) Who can forget about the iconic scene from the classic Pirates of the Caribbean attraction in which a group of imprisioned pirates attempt to bribe a guard dog for the key to their cell. This is one of my favorite alltime theme park scenes, so it was only a matter of time before I built it in LEGO®. "Come here, boy. Over here. Nice, boy." "Bring ol' Bill the nice key! Nice and easy..." "Bring us the keys. Steady! I say grab his ears!" "Here, doggy. Here! Nice, doggy." "Here you go, Spot. How about a nice, juicy bone?" The back of the cell, a place that riders would not normally see on the attraction. I am especially proud of the arch design to create the atmosphereic, fort architecture. The pirate trio. I studied the original attraction concept images to ensure accuracy with their looks and placement. Our loyal hound dog, protecting our prisons since 1967. Well, thanks, me hearties, for checking out my entry! Until next time, Dead men tell no tales.........
