Atropa . Mmmmm... dark red. . Atropa - the genus of plants that includes the mandrake and deadly nightshade.
Grown on huge clone farms, these cybernetically enhanced humans are the only ones that can handle the g-forces produced by the craft at its full capability.
There are innumerable gaps in the structure. I don't much like that, but with all the curves meeting at weird angles on this thing, it's bound to happen.
It all started with the barred canopy design (inspired in part by the Legohaulic's alien ship) but the back ended up looking better, in my opinion.
Hi, my name is Shannon, I'm 32, and I own a bunch of Bionicle pieces.
I picked up some in the past if they were at a deep discount and looked interesting -- the little guys that rolled up into balls were kind of neat.
But I haven't gotten any in a while, they looked less and less interesting, less and less like LegoŽ, I guess. And the ones I had never did much. I found it difficult integrating the "weird" pieces into "normal" MOCs.
I lke how this turned out, though. I was going for an alien look (and the pieces were dark red, which I don't have much of).
You can use that dome piece the unimaginitive way, by having a dark red R-2 unit to populate your lame Star Wars MOC, or you can slap it onto the back end of your latest swooshmobile. It's better there, trust me.
Not that I have anything AGAINST Star Wars, I just don't think it's anywhere near cool enough to be worth the mental energy so many people expend on it. I could be wrong... I do seem to be in the minority here, at least among my fellow Lego geeks. To each their own.
Now that I've pissed 90 percent of you off with my vicious Star Wars bashing, please leave your indignant blather and death threats below.
Those barbs on the bottom front do something, I don't know what. But they do have a function. You don't think I'd just throw them on there to plug some holes, do you?
I'm sure there's a more elegant way of getting all those faces on the underside to meet and look somewhat sealed, but this will have to do.
Please wait until the car comes to a complete stop, and exit to your right. Thank you.
