Serpent Steel scene 1: Routine Patrol . An excerpt from the journal of Corporal Jason Renfield, 225th DF Infantry, recovered shortly after Operation: Serpent Steel. . Day 11 in-country: This is the sixth straight patrol in as many days. The rain finally stopped, but its still cold. I don't know what 'Serpent Steel' is supposed to accomplish, but the EA must not be very active in this sector 'cause we ain't seen nothin' since we arrived. We finally got some tanks from the 75th as escorts, they're not the heavy mechs we were promised, but no ones complaining! The TITAN assigned to our unit threw a track, so we got a little down time while the 'tread-heads' get 'er fixed up. I might even be able to sneak in a little shut-eye if Sgt. Chambers can keep the LT off my back! "The Sarge spotted something over a ridge two klicks to our north. No rest for the weary I guess." Corporal Renfield seems concerned that he's gonna miss his nap. "It'll be finish when it's finished, Private!" "As soon as Windows 23 finishes updating I'll tell you exactly where we are!" The TITAN can be viewed in more detail here: TITAN The LT The NCOs The Sniper Team The Heavy Weapons Team The Riflemen The Squad
