Long ago before the shattering, Nerzek was a proud warrior for the Iron Tribe. One day, however, the tribe had been struck by a mysterious malady, the inability to dream. They soon were driven insane. Nerzek, along with a few others were unaffected, yet the other tribes didn't care. They thought that they too were going to be infected, and so shunned the survivors. Out of fear of being attacked by the infected members, the group fled to hide in a cave.
One day, Telluris, a brilliant friend of his, had come up with the idea of using minerals to change the color of their armor from the original dark blue and grey. His idea succeeded, but even then, they hadn't integrated with the other tribes.
Nerzek by then had run to the jungles of the planet, having only a handful of materials to change his armor. Very quickly he had run out, ending up with half his armor altered, and the other the same. He had no time to get more, as the world literally shattered apart, and he was hit by debris. By the time he woke up, he was left in a new world, now having only a name, and a body. All he had left was a sword and three thornax fruit, which he saved for the right occasion. He had never used them.
Over 100,000 years, he was driven into a state of near-madness from being solitary. Every once in a while he would stumble upon a sentient being, and even once seeing a ship, the Tomorrow. There were tales of a blue and yellow figure wandering around, but very rarely would he make contact with.
And the story continues as Mata Nui reformed Spherus Magna...
I'm personally really proud of the upper legs, with them probably being the most greebled thing I've made. Although a drawback is that they're very bulky/blocky.
The technique of putting one of the spikes into a pin is one made by a member of the Piece Out group.
And when I take them off, you can see Nnen parts! This is the first time I've used them, and I think I've done justice to the part.
The lower arms are a bit simple, but I think they work.

With Akara. I really can't tell whether I like one more then the other.
In my opinion, this is what a thornax launcher should have looked like! Although, I think this looks more like a blaster.
This is definitely one of my favorite MOCs I've made, and I hope you think that too! Anyways, long ago when I first started out on MOCpages, I posted Nerzek, my first Self MOC. Soon after, he was replaced by Akara. I'd always wanted to remake him, so here he is!
The arms are long, I know. In any means, I planned for them to be like that, to maintain some resemblance to the Glatorian sets. If you have noticed, he has four fingers on each hand, while my other MOCs have three. This is not a coincidence, as in my mind, the number of fingers is used to distinguish a Toa from a Glatorian, along with others, of course.
Sneak Peak Time!
Out of all of these members of my Toa team, can you guess who this is?
