Stepside Truck, 6 Wide . This is the final rendition and taking to something well beyond what it was. Updated Nov.11 (small error in the rear of build found and rectified) . This is a re-imagining of the truck offered in the Winter Village Post Office Set. I liked the way the front end of this truck looked and thought I would convert it into a pickup. I changed up the roof (and the only thing keeping this from being truly a SNOT offering) as I think the overhang in the front makes it loot a little more 'classic'. I also took out the snowshoe element and added a rear window and changed the front windows to match what I did in the rear as I didn't like the way the front window flowed with the rest of the model. It's a shame there is no 4 wide window frame that has a similar feel to these 2 wide. I do like the end result but since I can only fit in a single minifig, having him centered on the solid portion of the window frame just seems wrong. The last few steps in the evolution of this truck was the front end, the printed grill seemed like an easy out, I've been playing with a few variations what I could do here to liven it up and decided on what you see here. I finally changed out the wheel hubs to spoked and played with the colour a bit. I only wish I could add a solid black tire rather than the treaded but alas, no solid for this wheel size in LDD. This is the final version 2.0 shown in attainable colours (reflected in the file). And lastly with the last piece attained via bricklink I've finally managed to build it.
