MocOlympics round 3: Sir Balamorgineas vs Nick V . It's a Trap!: Ok, so your adventurer is deep within the catacombs or wherever his adventure has led him and then BAM, the trap is sprung. Give us a dio showing your adventure hero being killed by (or narrowly escaping, your choice) a trap set by those who did not wish their treasure disturbed. (Note: This does NOT have to be an "Indiana Jones" kind of thing. Adventurers looked for treasure in EVERY time period of history... and fiction.) . For the 2012 MocOlympics round three. My opponent is Nick V Hrorik Yolifsonn is a warrior, an explorer and is on a mission. For the last 23 days, he has searched the sky for a family heirloom. A funeral pyre set to burn for ever and now ready to be reclaimed. Yes it's his grand uncle, Eric the Black's, death ship. Somewhere over the Baltic, Hrorik sights his prize. "Aye'm sure that Granduncle won't mind giving a little part of his legacy to his favorite nephew." "Still, Eric the Black's not one to leave his possessions without some kind of protection." *chk, chk* A hop skipp and a power welding later, Hrorik steps into the inner chambers of the death ship. Time to commandeer the control panel. "Awrgh!" *CHUNK* *sssssss* "HaHa! A fine attempt gramps!.." "..but this ship is mine now.." ...and no one is going to take it away." BOOM! BOOM! Well, I don't really know what to say for myself. I guess I just had VikingPunk on my mind. I think that that last sentence of the category really struck home with me. The hardest part of this was the interior. Since I curved the spine of the room, I had a lot of trouble with dimensions and it was very fragile. Taking pictures was an exercise in patience. I thought that Nick V's last entry was one of the better ones of round two so I don't put too much on my chances of winning. I hope you enjoyed it and I will see if I can explore VikingPunk sometime in the future. It seems like a fun one. P. S. A hop skipp is a line that cinches a small craft to a larger one. Solo Deo Gloria
