Mocoff - James McKinnon VS. J Man . A Victorian style haunted mansion made for a Moc Off against J Man. Topic: Halloween. . Come closer children and let me tell you a story of when I was a your age. Two of my friends and I were our trick-or-treating that one night, years and years ago. We were about to turn back and head home after a very successful night of gathering candy, when we came upon an old dirt road. We decided to explore and at the end of the road there was a very old house. We all wondered if it was haunted, but it was in such good condition that none of every would have guessed that it was. It was a big house, tall and proud, a reminder of a bygone era. It stood adorned in red, with grey and black edging put on as a finishing touch. It was in pristine condition for its age, a fact that made it all the more terrifying when we learned it was haunted. Ah, I cannot remember what happened next, only that we had the misfortune to wake the evil spirits that resided in that place and the we ran, as only a boy can run, when fearing for his life. This thing was murder to photograph; it took up the good part of the past two hours to get these photos. Needless to say I'm quite proud of this build, the roof isn't perfect over the turret, but it's my first house in this style and I think I'll try building another one of them. The turret itself was a bit of a challenge to build and I messed up the angles on it a bit. The rest of the roof was fun to make, although I must admit that if you look closely it's a bit messed up as well. The door was hard to get perfectly attached to the house but some clever SNOTing saved the day there. I have more photos of the house but I want to save them for a Halloween post. I know the story isn't all to engrossing, it's a little short and I didn't make it too detailed because what with mid-terms coming up I barely had time to build this as it is never mind interior shots. I will be uploading my full story which I've been writing up in my spare time in class here but it's not up yet. Thanks to my opponent and the judges, good luck J Man.
