Moc Off - David Vs. Mark Murphy . Finally here, though finished a couple days ago... . So, Built for a Moc off between me and Mark. Link to my opponents page. To make the judges lives easier. (And Reynolds especially, before you deduct point for dust on the bricks, I want to let you know I used a paintbrush to clean them off this time. :) (And for those who couldn't decipher, the sign in the title pic says "Harvest") :D The whole scene. As you can see the hobbits are here, and even Gandalf has paid a visit to make the occasion more festive. The party, seating/eating/drinking area where hobbits are showing up. I like the banner. :) Gandalf, who is semi custom, smoking his pipe. His half snot stool. :L The dude on the left is having troubles with his chicken, and the dude on the right is really gulping it down. >:O The refreshments, fruits, meat, and ale. :d My custom barrel. Thanks to Blake Baer for the hand nozzle technique! The stage with the podium. Without the banner. An old farmers cart. I like this fig the most. :) Notice his striped shirt. :D This cart is similar to my last one. This is different..... I've got the same slant technique. The wheels are basically the same. :) But I did redesign the whole front of the thing and this harness. I like this harness better. The party tree. A young hobbit jumps from the ledge. A little girl in the pile of leaves, with some in her hair. The tree. Thank goodness for drafts! How some are tilted. More branches. Trust me, had I gotten my hands on more olive branches, this would be more filled out. :) More leaves... The tower technique for the base. I think I'll always remember building this because my family was watching "War Horse" whilst I chose to build this. I could hear it perfectly, and enjoyed it all the more because I noticed it had both the actors who play Loki, and Sherlock Holmes. (From the new BBC tv show) Looks like every batch has a trouble maker. ;) It looks like this young Hobbit has shot off a mushroom rocket of Gandalfs'... It was meant for the last day of harvest... I guess a smoke ring will just have to suffice. Inside the tent. (Sorry it's so barren, It is hard to work in a tent) The trail of spilled hay from the wagon. Now, for my favorite part of the whole thing, the hobbit hole! I enjoyed building this so much I will most probably do it some other time. :D (Might even add another burrow to make it two!) The yard. With a solitary chicken. Now the reasons for the grass not being all the same color are, 1. All the green plates you see is all the green plates I have, aside from a hinge and a slant, and 2. It's fall, so the grass is dying. His garden, with SNOT dirt, cabbages, carrots, and tomatoes! My custom pump. Thanks to Freeling ++ who gave me some inspiration for the pump. The stone road to his hole. The side and a root. Some of the top. Bats flying away... ('Tis Halloween, No?) The other side. I personally like this side better. His circular window. The hobbit hole interior. The old hobbit greets the trick-or-treaters. The candy bowl. Oohh, look! The last red one! His door. The door can open and close. A picture of his beautiful wife. A'fore she passed on. His writing chair. Sorry blake, I ruthlessly STOLE this technique from you... Hope it's okay! His quill and a le'er he finished mos' recen'. (Sorry about the dark pic... I had to block out eh light so it wasn't so overexposed) The door closed. The trick-or-Treaters. Please note the hood bag. :) (My own technique) Close up for proof of a hood. The old hobbit. The figs. Well now, if you've finally had the temperance and patience to get through all the pictures, I congratulate and commend you. :) *pats on back* Thanks judges, and good luck Mark! Hope You Enjoyed! Thanks For Looking! Please, Rate and Comment! God Bless ~ David.
