Mark-9X . A very last minute entry to Banjax's The Inhabitants contest. . Link to the contest. Name (model): Mark-9X Origin: Unknown Backstory: One day the Mark-9X was out scanning the skies for nukes, for this was a time of nuclear war, when he detected an incoming missile. The 9X immediately reported the hostile and engaged it, but the missile evaded all his shots! The robot had never encountered anything like this before so it wasn't quite sure what to do. It called in air-support but it knew they wouldn't get there in time. With only mere seconds left, the robot discharged some three more shots at the incoming missile and prepared itself for the impact. As it had before, the smart-missile and dodged the shots and with a eerie blast it landed but ten yards from where the 9X stood. The blast knocked the robot over, but it was unharmed. A few moments later, the robot rose and took in the devastation now surrounding him. He tried to establish communications with home base but they did not respond. The 9X then, abiding bye its code, set out for home base to see if there were any survivors. Here it is. The reason you don't see much damage on it is because it was built to withstand nuclear attacks. This robot's job was to detect income nukes and shoot them down. He is equipped with a missile radar, a power lamp and twin anti-missile batteries. The backside The gun and stuff. A last shot. ;) Phew! got it in in time. :) Good luck everyone! Sorry for the bad pics, I seriously just built and photographed this like half an hour ago. C&C Appreciated.
