With Christ in the Vessel... . With Christ in the vessel, we can smile at the storm! . The MOC. A look at the side and bottom, with Jesus standing at the bow. Jesus. I didn't want to portray Him as anyone fancy or anything; the only difference in His minifigure in the MOC is his expression: calm. Remember, God looks more at the heart than at appearance, which is why Jesus is often portrayed as humble and having humble origins as a man. A parting shot. Please stay to read what's below, which is far more important. :) The story of Jesus and the storm in the gospels is often used to show how we can cast all our cares on Him, and we should trust Him and depend on Him at all times. But it is equally important to realise that God is not simply an emotional crutch that we run to in times of trouble. He is God of this universe, and if He is truly sovereign, then we should view ourselves as creatures who work solely for Him and His glory. Depend on Him in times of need, Praise Him in the storm: this is the only way we can live our lives, and it is a way that we can glorify Him and show how great and awesome He is. Think about it: this encounter two thousand years ago is still known today. Why? Perhaps God did not only save the disciples of Jesus, but used this to show His power over all nature, and show His greatness and glory. While we live our lives, think about how we can give glory to God in all situations, and remember, if troubles come our way, we have Christ in the vessel. God bless!
