Classic Space Pocket Money Challenge Entry 1 - Cargo Loader . competition entry . MAIN SET SPACE CARGO LOADER Designed with grasping claws for picking up fuel rods and loading small, personal vehicles, into larger transports. Legs can be positioned for basic walking action and to be stable on most surfaces. Hatch is hinged to remove pilot. 80 PIECES ALTERNATIVE MODEL A SPACE SLED, WITH RADAR TRAILER AND ROBOT SCOUTS Features hover sled with radar dish and two robots, one small observation drone and a larger power/repair robot. ALTERNATIVE MODEL B MOBILE SENSOR PLATFORM. This bipedal exoframe is designed for gathering long range telemetry data as it marches over the lunar landscape. ALTERNATIVE MODEL C SWOOP BIKE This hover bike is designed with a forward mounted sensor rig, retractable landing gear and adjustable chair. This was created as my entry into the Classic Space Pocket Money Challenge. Sets had to have two distinct modes, plenty of play value and be between 30-100 pieces (At exactly 80 pieces I'm well under the upper limit). If the judges will allow, I may attempt a second design before the competition ends in January. Only one entry per person. I may attempt a better alternate mode from the parts, but this is my only entry, officially. Personal assessment: Well obviously I like it, otherwise I wouldn't have made it, but as with any design I could still make a few changes and substitutions. The hardest part is creating something that doesn't have military applications. Though I did have some serious head scratching on an alternate mode that was significantly different from the primary one. Comments, suggestions and advice welcome as ever - ratings optional, spam will be deleted. Note: Because this is a competition entry I haven't included building instructions. I may add the file later if the judges request it.
