Bandit's Folly . . I decided to build an entry for the CCCX Daring Escape category, and due to the order in which I built the scenes, I've chosen to have the first scene be the resolution and the next two progressively older flashbacks. So this was it. At the law had found me, and no longer was I the invincible bandit. A spear bit deep into my leg, I stumbled to the ground. Crawling back I turned to face justice, and waited silently for my sentence. I reflected before death, on all which had brought me here. I remembered the prison cell, my one-minded quest to escape. Slowly I tunnelled into the basement, and rejoiced in freedom. Yet I would never truly be free, not after my capture. Farther back I thought, recalling the events which had led to my confinement. I had taken a sack of coin from a courier merchant, and returned to the forest a rich man. No longer need my family toil in the fields! Yet the King's men tracked me down, and in my naivete I dared draw blade against them. Alas for the foibles of youth, alas for the desperation of poverty. A closer view of the rockwork, waterfall, and river. (The cheese water technique is George G.'s.) I wanted to experiment and improve upon my rockwork and landscape skills in this MOC, and used Mark Kelso's landscaping as a guide. Thanks for stopping by!
