1st MOCiversary ... Its been one year already ! . One year has passed already. . So our first year on MOCpages has come to an end, but an even better year is beginning ! Finding my love for LEGO once again has been one of those things that really can make me cry. Seriously ! Having been building with my son and stepson has not only brought us closer as a family, but having a hobby together like this, also forms your brain in creative ways .... Honestly i do believe it can be a drug. But one of the healthy kind. Few has heard how we came to build together. Both of the kids had always loved LEGO, and had loads of sets and minifigs. I had had a black age lasting some 25 years. Last christmas i wanted to find the Millinium falcon for my youngest son for christmas. A search on the internet showed me some insane Lord Of the Rings builds located on MOCpages. When my youngest son saw that, he said: Hey, Mikael cant we build a Death Star together .... I wanna make Star Wars, not Lord of the rings. And so we did. And i was hooked on LEGO again. :) Death Star V1.0 Only a week later we made a V2.0, after i convinced the kids to put their LEGO collections together in order for us to make even bigger builds. Deathstar V2.0 Death Star V2.0 This turned into a Comic. We all love Doctor Who. My stepson came up with an idea of blending Doctor Who with this build making fun of both the Doctor Who series and the Star Wars movies. And this is where i got to think of making Doctor Who builds and starting to collect LEGO again myself. I imediately bougth a lot of basic sets to expand our collection. Now i was really hooked. We basically turned out another MOC almost every second day the next couple of months. Now we wanna tell a little about our favorites. This spacewhale was the first thing that i builded myself. I still love it cause its such a clean build and just ordinary basic building techniques. Doctor Who - The beast below This is my alltime favorite MOC of all the things we have created. My wife said that i had to make The little blue book from the Doctor Who series. This book has a special place in the serie and nobody had ever made it in LEGO before. First of all it tought me some new techniques with LEGO, and a lot of you people in the community that we now have as favorite builders and our favorites, wrote comments on it. With this build we started to also become a part of the community. Doctor Who - The Blue Book Another favorite is the Swimmingpool we made for the 2012 MOCathalon. 2012 MOCathalon - Castaway This was so much out of our comfort zone, and because it was a contest we really wanted to make to perfection. So we rebuilded it a few times and came up with new ideas for what interior their should be. Yes, i must say ... My all time favorite. Our Doctor Who comic was also very very fun to make, though to time consuming. Thats also why we never got to post episode 5 of it ... We simply didnt have the time, the weather became hotter. And it was more fun to be outside. Doctor Who - The comic I think this was where we had some 5 months away from MOCpages once again, however i was always here lurking on what builds that came up on the mainpage almost every day. With these next two MOCs, was the first time we tried out SNOT work. I recall these as also being very funny builds to make. The Pit: The Pit The girl Who Waited. The girl who waited To me, our worst MOC must have been this. It could have been so much better, but i feel we sort of rushed it. Perfect Prison: Doctor Who - Perfect Prison Now a little about our most liked MOCīs: My wife tells me she does understand why everybody thinks this is so cool. I must admit that this is in no way one of the MOCīs we have made that i thinks deserve so many likes. :) 47 likes - Silence in the library: Silency in the library Second most liked MOC of ours is this - Doctor Who VS the chicken. Thing is we got the weirdest of phonecalls: You know anyone who wants a survivor chicken, the voice said. What ??? So it turns out this chicken should have ended up as food for some animal. It has been gassed and put in a freezer along with 249. This one survived, so we build it a castle 31 likes - Doctor Who VS the chicken. Doctor Who VS the chicken This was fun to make, and we soo wanted LEGO to produce Doctor Who, however CUUOO has turned down all Doctor Who builds, due to patent conflicts. So annoying !!. 29 likes - LEGO Doctor Who - Imagitive Box set: Doctor Who - Imagitive Box Set Anyhow Thanks for all the support :) .... And it was fun photoshopping the box. Then their is all of the other creations we have been making, but offcourse we wont post them all here. Feel free to visit our page to have a closer look. Unfortunately im running out of time and needs to start cooking for the family. Butt i have to post it on our MOCiversary, i will probably be back and edit some more whenever i have the time. So please come back for more lateron if you wish. For now LEGO Family is out, but we will be back again. Next build - Our Classic Space installment offcourse. Last note. Thansk to all of you for supporting us and for making this community what it is . Friendly peoples everywhere. Remember if you smile at people, you will mostly get a smile back. !! :) Now please comment and congratulate us.. Also, have a very happy new year all of of you, and may creativity be with us all in the whole of the upcoming year. :)
