MELO R2: Martin Geistefeldt vs. Josh Walter: Battle At The Gates Of Durin . . Bracket: Barad-dur Opponent: The talented Josh Walter and his creation Category: The Gates Of Durin Well, here is my entry for the 2nd round of the Middle Earth Olympics. Definitely one of the best scenes in „The Fellowship Of The Ring“, and definitely a hard one to build (I think I'm pretty much the only one on MOCpages who had the nerve to build a movie-based Watcher in the Water that big). But in my opinion the result is worth the hours of searching for the pieces (and all the disregarded homework ;D). I proudly present the scene „Battle At the Gates Of Durin“! The base is curved because of the better perspective. In the Lego LotR video game (which is awesome), Legolas shot Gimli's axe in this scene, and Pippin always carried a carrot, so I put it in here, too :D Some Orcs chillin' around. And now to...wait, what is this? Looks like Gollum wants his fish back! Yup, he got it back. One last artistic shot. 'Pedo mellon a minno!' Hope you enjoyed! And good luck to my opponent Josh!
