8292 - Cherry Picker Truck - B Model - Motorized . Motorized version of the Cherry Picker Truck - B Model (8292) . Following my first re-experience with LEGO Technic and PF I got myself an old 8292 B Model Cherry Picker Truck. I really like the design and planned to remodel it into a race truck. However my kids liked the possibility of transporting and unloading stuff with it so I decided for motorization instead. My goal was to stay as close as possible to the original design/size and keep PF as invisible as possible. I decided to keep as much of the chairs in the cockpit as well so I had to redesign them and had due to this no space for the steering engine which went in the back behind the battery. Therefore I had to redesign the Load area in order to make room for the engine. The original model suffered from falling to pieces when my kids handled it so it was clear it needs some further enhancements to make it stronger. The load area is still working manualy from the back of the truck. I did had a motorized version as well but it did interfere too much with the original design. New version now features: - 2 M Motors for propulsion - 1 M Motor for steering - Return to center steering made with x928cx1 (Axle Connector Rectangular Triple Spring-Loaded) My kids love this truck and play with it on a daily basis including their friends. It never fell appart so far(unlike other Models I made that will be shown later) so this is a real heavy load truck :-) . Since I wanted to learn making plans with LDD (love it)I rebuild it virtually as well I have added the LDD file in case someone wants to rebuild it. Please note that the red beam 1x9 should be yellow but LDD does not give me that colour option. Also the return to center piece is non existent and is symbolized by 2 1x3 beams in blue. I could not get the steering axle connected to the engine either but you will get the idea when you look at the plan.
