EDI UCAV . The EDI UCAV is a 7th generation downward-canted delta air-superiority fighter. Despite its designation as a UCAV, it retains a cockpit for a pilot. If it is manned EDI will become the co-pilot. Among the new features are VTOL capability, a Kermit (metal ceramic) composite exoskeleton, aeroelastic wing, low-radar signature and thrust-vectoring. Under its skin there are small Adaptiv panels that can change the jets' thermal signature or completely mimic its surroundings making it invisible for heat-seeker missiles. The engine is a Pulse Detonation Engine with twin Hybrid Scramjets. Being unmanned, EDI has shown to disregard G-forces and perform a complete sharp angle, high speed turn. Pilots call the aircraft Tinman. . :UPDATE: A new 3D thrust vectoring system is now installed on the EDI UCAV This system provides even better manouverability than the previous 2D system. The defensive laser needed to be relocated. Now there are two lasers, one in each wing. Some music for it Statistics Design: downward-cante delta wing Powerplant: 2 Gurijev AX-c Pulse Detonation, twin hybrid Scramjet engines Crew: 1+ AI Maximum speed: Mach 5 Range: 3500-5000 km , dependant on speed. Guns: 1 25 mm gatling gun Missiles: space for 10 missile in internal bay Its unique wingshape along with the air-intakes can be clearly seen here. EDI features delta-like wings. In its internal bay it can carry up to 10 missiles. The left one is a Rapier AAM, int he middle there is a Hellfire AGM and to the right, there’s a Doorhandle bunker buster missile. If it is manned the windshield turns clear. In normal planes, a ladder is needed for the pilot to get in, but the EDI features a unique system, making getting in easier. The brain of the aircraft is shown here. EDI's computer has a capacitiy of 10 tera-bits/second. It also has an Artificial Intelligence system with Quantum processing achieved by a neural net. The most striking feature of the A.I. was its ability to learn at an exponential rate and it goes even further by allowing it to speak freely without being influenced by a human controller. For dogfights, it has a 25mm minigun, firing at 3,600 rpm Compared to other Tongorian aircraft, it is much smaller. The canopy slightly looks downward, providing better visibility for the pilot. Integrated into its tail, EDI has a defensive laser. These automatically track incoming missiles. These have a good chance of destroying a missile. However, flares are still carried along with electric counter measures. Thank you for viewing! Can you guess my inspiration?
