Range Rover HSE . This Range Rover is based on chassis of Nathanael. I made some adjustments to lift it. . Based on the images of the chassis of Nathanael,, I could rebuild it. As he says it was to get others enthousiastic as well. During the rebuilding I was even more impressed by the techniques used. It took me several days however to get the steering working. Added exterior mirrors to both doors. Added outside window frame to the front doors. After finishing the chassis I checked the ratio and found it would fit a Range Rover HSE. But ofcourse the chassis was way to low so I increased the height. This took me some while because I had to make some changes to the gearbox. The gearbox is pretty low designed. The window parts of this chassis took me days to get it stable and without any tension in the parts. This design fits well. What I did is creating a strong frame so I forced myself not to create any tension in the construction. Now I had this window part fixed the whole body was suddenly stable and didn't bend anymore over the wheels. It took also a while to get it a bit hanging in the rear wheels what this car is known for. The doors and seats are pretty simple constructed. It is not my strong point the interior of cars. Like the real one this car has a turning circle like a boat. I studied the front for several days by watching photo's. After a few weeks I managed to get the esential details in the front which it immediate makes you recoginze the Range Rover. The back part was even more difficult. The c-style was the last one I managed to get in. I almost forgot the back hinge is in two parts. I realize that the steering wheel is to low, but I couldn't get this one to fit the original position. As you see I don't have the black parts for the bumper unfortunately. The doors didn't stay closed themselves so I constructed a very simple locking for it. So enjoy it and ok I know I should have made a horse trailer as well :-). Special function in this one not really besides the ones from the chassis: 1. Independent suspension at front 2. Fixed axle suspension at rear 3. Rear axle drive train 4. 4-speed gear box 5. 8 cylinder engine 6. Both HOG and seat steering For the body: A. Like dinky toy only front doors working with lock B. hood and rear can be opened C. Rear door in two pieces like it should be Size: a. Length: 47 studs b. Width: 21 studs c. Height: 21 studs
