LEGO Hotel . LEGO Hotel & Detailed Interior . LEGO model of a 40000-brick 53-apartment luxury hotel with detailed interior. The design is not based on any particular hotel, although I was inspired to build a hotel after watching De Niro and McElhone visit the hotel in the movie Ronin.I wanted to build something that was somewhat architecturally extravagant without being too over the top - it should still look like a hotel and not a cathedral! The scale is designed to be Minifig scale, although the usual limitations on brick count and size meant that I've had to limit the extravagance more than I would have liked, especially on the interiors since most of the rooms are a little on the small side. One advantage to the smaller size is that none of the rooms should need any central support pillars to hold the ceiling up!The hotel features include:Driveway, Fountain, Landscaping, Main Entrance, Lobby & Reception, Atrium, Lounge, Restaurant, Piano Bar, Ballroom, Public Toilets, Service Area, Kitchen, Pantry, Laundry/Boilerroom, Admin Office, Glass Snackbar, Gymnasium, Games Room, 2 Function Rooms, Verandah, Gardens & Swimming Pool Area, Rooftop Fire Escapes, Twin Elevator Shafts & Fully Functional Stairwells, 30 Single Guest Rooms, 21 Double Guest Rooms, and 2 Penthouse Suites.Built with MLCad and rendered with POV-Ray (nothing to do with LDD) over a 4 month period. The Hotel FrontThe Hotel RearThe rear of the hotel includes a service access road and a verandah leading to an elevated garden and swimming pool area that is designed to be private and out of sight from passers-by at street level.View from verandahView inside verandahGround Floor LoungeJust off main reception is the lounge, with sofa-chair seating for at least 16, coffee tables, plants, and TV screens.Lounge(Overhead Construction View)LoungeGround Floor Piano BarOn the other side of reception is the piano bar, with seating for at least 32, tables, bar, grand piano, and TV screens.Piano Bar(Overhead Construction View)Piano BarPiano BarGround Floor BallroomBehind the piano bar is the ballroom, with seating for at least 32, tables, dancefloor, stage, jukebox, and vending machine.Ballroom(Overhead Construction View)BallroomBallroomGround Floor RestaurantBehind the lounge is the main restaurant, with seating for at least 50, and a serving hatch & door through to the kitchen area.Restaurant(Overhead Construction View)RestaurantGround Floor Service AreaBehind main reception is the service area including the kitchen, a pantry, a laundry/boilerroom, an admin office, a storeroom, and rear service doors.Service Area(Overhead Construction View)KitchenGround Floor ToiletsThe ground floor has two sets of public toilets next to the piano bar and restaurant.Toilets(Overhead Construction View)Main Entrance & 1st Floor Glass SnackbarThe front semi-circular driveway leads up to the main entrance which has a revolving door in the center.
