Robotics Mask . For my FIRST Robotics League competition. . A 100% purist, unglued, functional mask. I made it because my robotics hat looked so pitiful. An alternate bobble, made for the 2nd day of competition at the request of one of my team members. The team logo it was based off of. I built this hat a long while back to wear during the VA FRC competition. My priority was for it to be very comfortable and stable. To my surprise, I managed both. Thanks to a bunch of three-stud Technic beam links the hat fits my head perfectly and snugly. It does not wiggle around unless you do some serious jerking. I wore it while dancing and running at the competition and encountered no problems. After two days of solid wear it did start to cut into my forehead, but only very little. I think now that I should have wrapped a bit of Vezon cape around the front strap, although I'd hate to risk damaging a Vezon cape. This is pretty much the only team spirit our robotics team had, so I'm glad I made it. On another note... Wow... Has it really been more than half a year since I posted something? I've been obsessing and building with Lego as much as ever, believe me, but school and a broken camera have kept me busy. I've got a few things ready to post now, and several WIPs, so expect me to post them over the summer.
