Alaskan Republic Aurora 1 rocket . My Space power for Decisive Action . This is Deadfoot field, site of the Alaskan Republic's first satellite launching facility. Today, the Aurora 1 rocket is being launched for the first time, bearing a communications satellite for the Republic's military. Deadwood Field's main parabolic dish, for constant communications with satellites from launch till orbit. This shot also shows the central hanger, in which Aurora 1 was constructed and which is now being used to begin the assembly of Aurora 2. The Aurora 1. May she fly quick and true! The control bunker, elevated for the best possible view of the pad. For this momentous launch, Air Marshal Obadiah Watkins, President and Supreme Commander Liguouri, and Chief Rocket Designer Louis Roquett, are in attendance to view the launch from the bunker. "Juneau to Deadfoot, all systems are operational and you are clear for launch." "L- 4...3...Auxiliary power systems off...2...Fuel lines disconnected and engine start initiated...1...Launch initiated..." "Deadfoot to Juneau, we have liftoff, repeat liftoff!" "...And the Aurora 1 is away! Switching payload control to you, Juneau!" "(YES! YES! We made it!)" A side view of the rocket. A picture of Aurora 1 in flight. This is my favorite picture here, since I love how the lighting turned out. For those who've never heard of Decisive Action, it is a war game group on MOCpages in which the players build certain military assets, then have them ranked by other users. The more ratings a vehicle has on MOCpages, the better it performs in Decisive Action. So, if you like this, give it a rating. If you think it's bad, give it a rating. Thank you! Viburna Omnia Vincint!
