He had been hand chosen by the man in the chair to be his adviser. Shrend entered the room and bowed. "Yesss, my massster? The figure intoned: "What have you done about this threat?" "I have dissspatched Lord Xrendx to hunt him down. If he failsss, I shall take care of him myssself." Shrend said. He was hoping it wouldn't come to that, however. "Good," said the figure. "Leave us now." Shrend bowed and said, "Yess, massster." He left. "Master?" said Kaeleb. "Should we capture the boy, and turn him to the dark side?" "No," said the figure. "He is more powerful than he knows. He must be destroyed." Meanwhile, at the Jedi Enclave, many months had past. William had become a Jedi Knight. They had been full of training for William. Many times he had gone to privately spar with Master Danus. He found it a refuge from the sometimes irritating instructors at the Enclave. He had also heard rumors of a space artifact recently found, called the Nova Ring. Supposedly, when all of the relics were in the Nova Ring's control center, lasers on the side of the Ring would fire into the middle of it to create a giant beam capable of wiping out planets. He had done his best not to let him bother him in his training but it was hard. Just then, William dropped his guard and Danus took advantage of this by making the "killing" blow. "William!" said Danus. He was displeased. "What has happened to your focus?" They both disengaged their light-sabers. "Sorry, master." replied William. He didn't mention the Nova Ring. "Try harder, William." Danus said. "I have higher expectations of you." William and Danus went back to sparring. Little did he know, but William would need all the light-saber training he could get. Later in the day, William found a time to slip away to the Enclave's library, to do a bit more research on the Nova Ring. "Hmmm," he mumbled to himself as he read. "So there are 4 relics. And whoever wants to active the Ring needs all of them. Interesting." Just then, William got a comlink call. "William here," he said as he answered the call. "William, this is Danus. You have been summoned to the council room immediately." "I'm on my way, master." William replied. He wondered what this could be about. When William arrived at the council room, he found Master Soresh, Master Danus, Master Rahm, and another he did not know. He stood, waiting for someone to speak. Rahm spoke first, saying, "William. I shall be brief and to the point. We have all, the council, seen it in the force that you are destined to save the galaxy from the Nova Ring. We do not agree, but we see it is your destiny that you do this. We know you know all about the Nova Ring, as we have been checking your library reading logs." "But why me?" William asked. "Why not a group of Jedi Masters, highly trained?" "Because it is the will of the force," said Soresh. "Who are we to argue with it?" "The nearest relic is on the planet Gravlex Med. You will find a briefing of that planet aboard your ship. We have also seen a small group of Jedi going with you, helping you." Rahm said. "Here they are... Jedi Knight Anne Jedi Knight West Jedi Knight Ian Jedi Knight Stephen William had become good friends with all of these people during his time at the Enclave and was glad they were accompanying him upon his quest. "May the force be with you all." said Danus. "Everything checks out, Freeling!" said Kad. He was the co-pilot of The Centurion , and Freeling was the pilot. "Affirmative, Kad! Everybody buckled up back there?" Freeling asked over the ships com system. "We're lifting off!" As The Centurion flew over the fields of Dantooine, William felt sure that him and his small band could acquire the relics before the Sith could. Now they were in space. "Initiating hyper-drive," said Freeling. Now that they were in hyper-space, the planet was near enough where it would only take a few hours to get there. They all took the time to relax the rest up. When they came out of Hyper-space, Freeling looked out the cockpit and said, "Uh, William? You might wanna see this." William stood and walked to the front of the cockpit. "Oh, no," he whispered, mostly to himself. He barely heard Freeling in the background, alerting the others that there was a Sith blockade on the planet. Also, he didn't notice Kad telling Freeling that The Centurion had been caught in the lead blockade ship's tractor beam. He had a feeling that this was not going to end well... Notes: So, here it is! The long-awaited 3rd episode of TSAG. Sorry guys, my life has been really busy lately, and I've only had time to throw in a couple entries for contests and the like. Hope you enjoy! Remember, comments keep this series alive! Quia gloria eius! For HIS glory!
