Emerald Night Train . My Emerald Night Train. . Hello, everyone! I'm Twitch, and I'm here with my Emerald Night locomotive and her passenger cars. All aboard for the tour! First up is the Mail/Baggage Car. What we did at the Nacho Enterprises Railway System, or NERS, maintenance shop was take a standard passenger car and gutted it. We also removed the walls and replaced the windows with solid walls. We also closed off the ends and added special safety lights. The doors have also been marked to designate the type of rail car. Inside is plenty of room for storage of all kinds. No matter the parcel or baggage, we can fit it here! Next up are the two standard coaches. The standard coaches started off as the originally designed car. The goal was to fit more passengers, and thus this design is what was developed. The last car is the standard-issue Emerald Night coach. Since everyone knows what that looks like, no internal pictures are taken. It serves as the dining car here. A sleeper car is in the works. Parts and supplies have to be fabricated, so there is a slight delay. Thankfully the Emerald Night has no overnight trips on its current schedule. We at NERS thank you for your time! Pictured here are my father-in-law and my wife, who both have their coffee. Darn coffee drinkers... *Twitch's Remarks* So, this is my first real brick MOC here on MOCpages. This proves that I can, in fact, build with real bricks. Not just digital... I am still working out some bugs with fitting an M-Motor inside of the Emerald Night. I am getting some gear slippage, so I have to figure out a way to prevent the drive rod from the motor to the wheels from moving (it has too much play, thus causing the slippage under load). Until next time, fellow MOCers!
