Heavyweight Champion . After Pavel Skryabin demanded the development of a new more powerful tank than the Chynska, to fight future heavily-armored tanks, the prototype of the Armata was ready in less than a half year. After heavy-trials, the final version is shown here. . Some things may seem futuristic. It was made for my country, the Tongorian Union in Divide and Conquer II !WARNING! Boring statistics ahead! Type: Tracked Heavy Armored Vehicle Place of origin: Tongorian Union Service history Used by: Ground froce of the Tongorian Union Production history Designer: Tongorian Ground Desgin Bureau Produced: begins in 2703, 400 pre-ordered Specifications Crew: 3 Armor: classified, composite, carbon nanotubes, Kitin ERA Main armament: 152mm ETC cannon (40 rounds) Seconary armament: 1 30mm coaxial gun Engine: Multi-fuel 1,200 hp, 1 Micro-fusion cell, 2 500hp electric engines Transmission: Continuously Variable Transmission Firepower The gun is currently, the most powerful Tongorian AT-gun fielded, a 152mm ETC gun, firing a 20kg Tungsten dart at 2,200m/s speed. Although, it can fire HE-FRAG ammunition too. The 70 ton heavy tank can easily handle the recoil of the gun. The gun is housed in non-manned turret, that also contains the ammunition. 40 shells are located vertically in a circular way. Hunter-killer system This is probably the best feature of the tank, the fire-control system. The AI can track several target, the gunner confirms it and than the AI engages it, first the most dangeroues. The tank itself is almost completely autonomous (target-tracking, calculating, engaging, loading, ammunition selecting, but the humans still control it. Protection The Type-99 is fitted with e tree-tiered protection system. The first tier is the composite nano-carbon tube. The second tier is fifth generation Kitin ERA which significantly degrades the penetrating power of kinetic-energy ammunition and also these ERA blocks give the turret its distinctive appearance. The third tier is a Shtora-3 countermeasures suite, produced by Elektromashina of Tongoria. This system includes two electro-optical/IR dazzlers on the front of the turret (which gives the distinct Red Eyes), four Laser warning receivers, 6 aerosol grenade discharging systems and a computerized control system. The Shtora-3 warns the tank's crew when the tank has been 'painted' by a weapon-guidance laser and allows the crew to slew the turret to face the threat. The third tier also includes the Active-Protections System Laser. Mobility Propulsion is provided by the V.20MS multi-fuel hybrid-electric engines. The multi-fuel engine alone produces 1,200hp. This might seem small compared to the weight of the tank, but the 2 other electric engines have a combined output of 1,000hp. The huge energy needed for the AI that controls pretty much everything and the electric engines are provided by a micro-fusion cell located in the engine bay. Crew The setup of the tank is unusal. The 3 man is located in front of the turret, driver in the middle, the gunner operator to his left and the commander to his right. Also, this picture shows the only difference between the render and LDD pics. The tiles are replaced here with 1x2 cheese slopes that act as ERA. These protect the turret ring from jamming. As rendering took 6 hours, I didnít want to redo it for such a small thing. T(h)anks for viewing! I wanted to build something like the Armata for a long time and finally got around to it. If you liked the creation, a comment about it is greatly appreciated.
