R.O. Round 1: Call of the Wild . . My entry to the 2013 Reading Olympics I chose the category "Classic American Literature". The book I choose is The Call of the Wild. I hope you guys like it! :D "The pool itself, muddy and discolored from the sluice boxes, effectually hid what it contained, and it contained John Thornton; for Buck followed his trace into the water, from which no trace led away" Extra Pics ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Boy, that must be the shortest story I've ever posted here. Be happy. :P The whole build. Nothing grandeur, but not bad for being built in two days, eh? :D This is my attempt at a tree worthy of Mark Erickson. It's alright for a first, methinks. :) Next are shots of the trees, so not much. Red Tree. The fallen tree. (I got the idea from an illustration in my copy of the book) The orange/olive tree. I love Legos' new leaf colors. :D The whole scene without buck. Notice the melting snow under the tall grass. :) And finally Jack Thornton, resting in his watery grave. Thanks For Looking! Good Luck To Everyone Else! :D Soli Deo Gloria!
