M.O. Round 1: Leo the Lion . My entry into Round 1 of the 2013 MocOlympics. Category: 12 Signs of the Zodiac. You know... Leo, Scorpio, Gemini and so on. Choose any ONE of the 12 Zodiac signs and build a moc incorporating that ONE sign into it. (in case you haven't noticed, you're only allowed to choose ONE of the twelve signs). No size limits. . Link to the 2013 MocOlympics. Hello everyone! Well, Between my Spare and Lunch break, I managed to Upload my entry. It is my largest and best MOC yet, and I'm really pleased with how it turned out. The MOC depicts the astrologer and mathematician Ptolemy observing the Constellation Leo on a hill overlooking Athens. A darker version of the main photo. Athens! Though not completely accurate to the actual city, it's pretty close. It includes the Acropolis with the statue of Athena, A gymnasium, forum, marketplace, harbour, temples, and villas. A statue of Leo sits at the top of the rocks. The harbour. Complete with docks, firemen shacks on the beach, cliffs, and ships. A view of the MOC without the removable sky. And, since the category specifically said "signs," here is the Zodiac symbol of Leo. Not good enough? How about this one? The sky with the random stars removed. A reference picture of the actual constellation below. "Well, Bless us and splash us, precious! It glows!" No Photoshop! :D And a final view of the MOC with my Sig. Well, this was a lot of fun to build! It was a bit tough, because I knew almost nothing about the Zodiac, but I enjoyed it immensely. This was also my first try a FP. A big thank you to all the judges, the sponsors, and Mr. Phipson for putting on this awesome contest. Thanks for viewing, and Good luck to all my fellow competitors! ~Mark
