In the Cyclic Plane, that reality's Teridax succeeded in taking control of the Matoran Universe. What followed was a five-year reign of tyrrany and fear. The Holy Island of Korrothis blasted a hole through the robot's chest and fled through space towards Bara Magna, and in doing so unleashed the Elemental Chaos, forcing Teridax to divert most of his power to keeping the Universe stable. Just as Mata-Nui had millennia before, the new "Great Spirit" elected to create a set of empowered individuals who would ease his burden.
Unlike Mata-Nui, Teridax attempted to create this council from scratch; the most powerful rahkshi ever created. These rahkshi had to be tested, and so they were sent to deal with the Korrothean Fire Council who had, weeks earlier, opposed the Airlord's decision to remove Korrothis from the Universe. Lord Delnok and his six archons (Soleku among them) had been holding their own against Teridax's forces up until now, operating out of Voya-Nui's ruined cave systems.
The battle was violent, energetic, and long. Two archons fell, as did four of the rahkshi. Three archons fused into a Kaita and, empowered by the Firelord, created walls of energy that the rahkshi could not bypass. As the firestorm raged, the rahkshi were forced to flee, but they did so with a prize; the unconscious body of the sixth archon. Toro, a pioneer in elemental control, though having come from safe and stable Artakha his combat experience was zero.
Teridax took Toro's body and combined him with machinery and organs from his rahkshi and various rahi he created. The result was a hulking brute of a creature, a corruption of Toa and Rahkshi combined. The newly named Cosrahk (King-Rahkshi) was given control over the others. He was sent out to kill the rest of his former team, and did so. By absorbing their attacks and powers, Cosrahk made the Kaita unstable and forced it to split back into the three toa again. Disorientated, they were quickly dispatched with his claws. Delnok himself fell after being choked with thick clouds of antidermis gas.
Cosrahk remained commander of Teridax's forces for five years. Occasionally, flashes of his old life would come to haunt him, but Teridax was swift to silence those memories when they did. When the time came to launch the attack on Bara-Magna, Cosrahk led his horde of Rahkshi, Rahi and other monstrosities against the allied forces of the Amu-Skrall, Vampirik, Korrokoa and Glatorian.
After Teridax's defeat, there was nothing to stop Cosrakh... Toro's memories from flooding back. He lived in isolation for many years, until his jungle home was stumbled upon by the Druids during the War of the Weave. Nilmador, their leader and Gringat's firstborn son, nearly killed him then and there, but his lover, Gloriana, instead offered him a chance to redeem himself. They gave him the nickname "Cossy", glossing over the "rahk" part of his name, but more importantly recognising him as an ally and friend.
-~-The Fourth Whorl-~-
This is, of course, my own adaptation of Ben Cossy's self-MOC! It's something I feel I've owed him for a long time.
The spine is made of digger buckets which came from the Striking Venom, held together via the large wheels from the
Thunder Driller. The construction is surprisingly sturdy and doesn't wobble at all. Also, despite its bulk, most of the spine is just empty space and not very heavy, meaning the MOC balances slightly differently to how it looks it should. Oh, and it can hold kraata too. ^^
The head design uses the new Brain Attack head mould, which presented a new problem; the eyes, with the Surge mask on, were hollow. I eventually found a way to extend the eye block with an Atlantis visor held in with, of all things, Chopov's foot.
Lower legs are slightly, but not completely, digitigrade. I prefer my rahkshi to have the extra joint and, seeing as Cossy here is a mix of Toa and Rahkshi, it kinda makes sense.
Lower arm design probably belongs to Shadowgear6335. As far as I know nobody has used this finger design before me.
Anyweh! I hope you like this MOC, especially if you're Ben Cossy. :P This is pretty much the last MOC I have to post - no promises for anything else any time soon. I still have bits of WIPs here and there, but I doubt I'll be home often enough to advance on them. You can still see me with Cossy, Shadowgear, Callan and our guests in the Broken Axles though! :)
