LoM RC (Preparing for Winter): Battle of First Snow . Here is my entry to the LoM RC. Enjoy! . We had received word a few days back that a mob of orcs had been scouring the land around Red Sand... ...and it was true. We finally met up with them near the outskirts out the town, so we confronted them. Me: Don't speak filth! Simply turn around and leave, and we won't hurt you. I don't want you in my town! Lead Orc: My name is Cridlug, and these are my men. Every year, we stop by ole' Red Sand for the yearly taxes. I see the town has changed ownership. But no matter, you will still pay us, or pay the ultimate price! Cridlug: So what's it going to be Outlaws? Taxes or death? Me: I can see there is no reasoning with you. Very well. Crimson Knights, charge! And so with a frightening burst of speed, we charged forward to meet our enemies head on. Cridlug: A little unexpected turn of events...No matter! Attack! And so we collided. Steel against steel, orcs against man. I quickly locked blades with Cridlug as a warg rushed past me to assualt one of my spearmen. Behind me, I could hear the snarl of the warg as it chomped down on a steel spear. Cridlug was unrelenting in his battle style. No wonder the last town leader was afraid of this orc, even though he was a coward. But I would see to it personally that no citizen of Red Sand had anything to fear. The battle raged on and on. It seemed even more fierce because of the chilling winter breeze blowing through. I suddenly heard the high pitched screams of one of my archers, and another large snarl coming from the warg. I wondered if the spearman was still holding him off. As my soldiers began to gain the upper hand, some of the orcs began to flee. It was time to finish my opponent. I locked swords with him... And then flung his blade out of his hand. And then his quad mace next. And finally, when the fear was most evident in his eyes, I thrust my sword into his heart. I then turned to help any of my men, but it appeared that the battle had already ended. Many of the orcs and the warg had fled after seeing their leader die. We had won the battle with very few casualties, which is always a huge plus. Victory shouts rang through the air, and high fives were exchanged. I had unfortunately lost one of my best archers. He would be buried and remembered for his service in battle. Me: Hopefully, this message of victory will be sent to all orcs who think they can get away with cheating my people. Blaine: My lord, victory is ours! Let us feast this night in honor of it! Me: Indeed! Let all remember this day as a great victory. Remember it as the day we won The Battle of First Snow! Whoops and hollers once again filled the air. And now, just some extra shots of the build, fig-less. Thanks for looking! And please remember to rate and comment!
