Pimped a vintage Jeep . Pimped a vintage jeep. It is one of those drizzling days that you can go through old Lego stuff. . Holiday season so finally all time at my hands to concentrate on Lego again! But what to do? It is those days that you have plenty of time and suddenly no imagination!! I could sell one of my older sets like the 8860, but couldn't find the building instructions. Going through my archives I found this idea book from the 80-ties. You probably recognize the yellow jeep. The buidling instructions back then were way more limited than nowadays. I remembered this model intrigued me when I was a teenager. So now I thought try to build it with the lego collection my sons have. Surprisingly it worked out, because they are not into technic lego so much. What I realized is that all Lego themes make use of a bit of technic lego. When I finished it all kind of changes popped up so here it is after half a day of playing and building. My kids don't have the original wheels and I really wanted to stick with their Lego just as a challenge. I had to cheat for one piece only 'Gear Rack 1 x 4'! Altogether I really like the result.
