2014 MOCathalon: Pine Tree . This one of my many entries into the 2014 MOCathalon . 2014 MOCathalon! Team BrickLock Category: Pair dare: Select two specific kinds of pieces (for example: the 1x2 brick and the jumper-plate) and then create a MOC using ONLY those two specific parts. Feel free to use multiple colors of those bricks but they must be ONLY those two bricks. Choose wisely! Pieces: 1x1 brick w. 4 studded sides and cheese slope. This was a bit of a stroke of genius for me. When trying to do this category I was playing around with a bunch of the 1x1 bricks with the studs (aka 'daleks') and I found that when sticking a bunch of then together I could create a branching network to create pretty much any kind of structure I wanted, (but weak admittedly). I also had a bunch of un-used cheese slopes in that olive green clor and one thing led to another and I ended up with a pine tree. [Here a couple of pictures of an early design of the internal structure] [The underneath gives you a good idea of how it`s built.] At some points when building it I thought it might look a bit too orderly and un-natural, but I managed to stretch the limits of the system and come up with this. That`s all, and I hope you guys liked it. BRICK OUT!
