Forklifting . A roundabout way of hoisting a nerdly... that's not as rude as it sounds... . On the left in the pic below, set 850 from 1977. A dear old thing... ... but almost entirely useless... The modded one with better forks and (slightly) better weight distribution does OK. If the nerdly had half a dozen more bricks it would tip over, though... Perhaps some lead in here would help... Better still, make one that looks a bit like a modern forklift! Smaller wheels, better weight distribution. Still with the yellowness. Yellow = good. This has rear wheel steering, from the HOG device or in-cab wheel, as well as an extending / tilting boom and lifting forks. The nerdly comes courtesy of Tommy Williamson. Thankyou, BrickNerd! Nerdly reaches for the sky... This ought to reach him higher... Biggish red beast has 4 motors and full remote control. There's a motor each for the front wheels; cut the power to one and it'll steer - the rear wheel is a castor. Works surprisingly well... Two further motors power the lifting and tilting. All PF M motors. Dat underside... Nice and easy to turn it on. Much like a ... never mind. Changing batteries is a piece of cake. A video of this working... It deserved a bigger nerdly, so I made one. Also makes light work of it's great grandfather. No contest really... Nerdly! Once again, a huge thankyou to BrickNerd!
