MOD: Sarlac Pit . So awhile ago my son got the Star Wars set 9496-1 Sarlac Pit (2012) and I was quite unimpressed with the Sarlac Pit that was included. But instead of trying to do a straight up MOC (cause honestly to do it realistically one would have to build a supported base so that the actual Sarlac Pit could be placed inside and funnel downwards I opted to modify the included Sarlac). My version is slightly larger and includes more tentacles and teeth and I changed the color scheme to make it more dessert in appearance and also to make the interior dark red, which is more inline with the movie. With the teeth I didn't want to do even rows so decided to raise a few of them and have some missing in spots. I think it gives it a more natural appearance. And BTW my son thinks it's the coolest!!! .
