The BatMech! . And so the Journeyman returns... . Hello MOCpages! I'm back! Man, it's been a while... Anyway, I made a little Mech for the Caped Crusader and a vignette to showcase it! But I'll show you the vignette later, let's get to the main attraction, the Mech! It's a cool little Mech, I tried to stay within the color scheme of black and grey, and I put a little yellow in to sort of mix it up. Let's get up close and see the details Here are the legs, pretty simplistic, but effective. Moving on up the BatMech we have a opening and closing "cockpit" And here we are at the back, I really like how this turned out. Here we have an antenna, and yes, a downward facing grappling hook. I know it's odd, but 1) Situationally, it's better that way, and 2) it was really difficult to get a working grappling hook to face upwards while maintaining a Bat design. Yup, that's a working grappling hook! You can see it in the next pic It's really quite easy, a string is tied to a spool in the back, and is spun by the gears. You can pull it out, and then retract it all the way with the gears. There's the aforementioned spool And lastly, we have the weaponry. The top cannon fires a precision laser, and the bottom fires small pellets, or grenades, which either freeze stuff, propel sleeping gas, or just blow up Now, let's see the vignette! It's not all that bad, it looks a little bland without the minifigs in my opinion. This is the only pic of it, as there's not much to show :3 And the minifigs! From left to right, we have Batman (based off of the New 52 costume, which is why he has no tights), Robin, Two-Face's, let's call him Jeff, Two-Face, and the Joker (armed with a lethal paintball gun, because regular guns are to practical). 2nd floor (because a 4th Wall is to overused) Hey guys! I'm really glad to be back! I was also really surprised to learn that now I have a sum total of 50 people (and counting!) that call me a favorite builder, that's just awesome! I just want to say thank you to each and every one of those 50 for sticking with me through this time of inactivity. This build was a lot of fun, I made the mech first (the back was pretty difficult), and then after that I made the vignette. I was laughing while making the vignette because of how old the villain figs are, but I kind of like the classic villains. Anyway, this does not by any means mean that I'll be as active as before, but I'm back on the 'pages, I'll be commenting in groups, posting an occasional MOC, and maybe, JUST maybe, participating in a contest. Basically, in the words of my friend Reaper the Ultimate, "I'll probably be more active now, but don't hold me to that." Anyway, that's all for now, if you enjoyed this MOC, or even if you didn't, please leave a comment, and please feel free to critique, as feedback is highly appreciated by me, just be nice ;) As always, I'll cya later!
