VX-999 - Space Pirate Lair . There's no place like home. . My first attempt at building something castle, microscale, and floating rock - all in one model. I wanted to build a dark tower with claw/root-like foundations that grabbed onto its rock surface to give the tower an alien feel. The black didn't come out very well in the photographs, which should teach me to stop making all black models. The microscale ship was built in the style of my earlier minifig-scale Izanami's Revenge pirate ship. [2007.11.11] edit: I deleted the comment about me voting for myself. The Koh person making the comment below is clearly not me and not related, and I feel this kind of comparison verges on being racist.
