Kuvago the Devastator V2 . Have you been juicin'? Hello everybody, I've another revamp for you to enjoy this friday evening, and this time it's of the former villain turned hero, Kuvago the Devastator! . “Something you’ll eventually learn is that evil exists and one can go too far into it. I can’t be saved. All I can do is try to do some good while I still can.”
-Kuvago to Skartau, Beginning Redemption.
Kuvago the Devastator:
Kuvago, also known as ‘Devastator’, is an old Toa of Iron and a former villain turned good. He was formerly a member of both the Dark Hunters and the Torm (Toa of Racta Minus). He was once a particularly nasty villain, quietly scheming, violent and malicious; however, he has since reformed himself, becoming kinder and more mellow in his old age- nevertheless, he has still retained his introverted personality and stern aloofness. He used to wear an iron replica of the Mask of Life, but currently wears the Hau, mask of shielding. He wields an iron scythe and twin wrist blades.
Kuvago was one of the first Toa settlers on Racta Magna along with Trokan, Onika, Parah and Korapa. He fought in the war with the Gostoks with admirable endeavour. For this reason, he was outraged to not be rewarded with any major position after the war was won. Developing a level of misanthropy, he abandoned the settlers of Racta Major and wandered out into the wild. He met and became friends with another wandering Toa, Galia, several years later. They travelled together for a while, but Kuvago soon became jealous of her superior strength and skill. He soon turned on her, beating her until she collapsed, and abandoned her to die.
Realising that he could no longer associate with his kind, he abandoned the name Kuvago and joined the Dark Hunters, via the assistance of Slave Driver. He gave himself the moniker ‘Devastator’, despite the fact that the name already belonged to another Hunter. He worked under Slave Driver for a while, but soon began to scheme with another Dark Hunter, named Catcher, to usurp Slave Driver and take control of the group. This plan was prematurely cut off as the Dark Hunters of Racta Magna disbanded. Both Devastator and Catcher migrated to Spherus Magna; they committed many atrocious deeds there, one of which being the ‘Morbuu Mutilations’, an event of which very little is known.
They soon encountered two Toa, Montu and Cilla of the Contenders, and helped them battle Four Gostoks that had been brought back to life. During this fight, Kuvago also fought Sohbec, a Dark Hunter and former ally. Kuvago and his new allies emerged victorious, but were then repulsed by the demon Mordath and the other Dark Hunters, who were following Sohbec. Montu and Cilla then suggested going back to Racta Major in order to recover; Tyranca reluctantly agreed, but Kuvago refused; as he knew Galia would be there. He separated from the group, wandering alone through Racta Minus. He continued to do this for roughly over a year, bearing witness as the planet was cast into permanent darkness by the villainous Shadebringers.
At first Kuvago could do nothing about this, but soon he was picked up by the godly Thanatos, who was assembling an army to combat the Shadebringers; among his ranks were Raxonax of the Contenders, members of the Hero Factory and the Torm. The latter group had changed drastically since Kuvago’s expulsion, with Anut being overthrown by Skartau, who welcomed him with open arms; the ex-member then became second-in-command of the Torm. The whole collective, dubbed the Champions of Day, then set out to lay siege to Racta Major. They fought their way to the city’s entrance and set up camp there.
Kuvago, now a part of the Champions of Day, is currently contributing in the march towards Racta Major.
Alright! Drastically changed from the previous version, as you can see. I wasn't too happy with how that version looked, honestly; he seemed a little too small and skinny; while 'Devastator' was always skinny from the beginning, I felt that now would be the right time to do something different.
The back. Not the best back armouring ever, but I think it'll do.
Height comparison with Gali Uniter: they are virtually the same size- which is funny, because the previous version of Kuvago was about the same height as Gali Master.
With Tyranca! Friends, and nothing more.
With Galia! Enemies, and nothing more.
Fighting Slave Driver.
Totally not a tease for my next MOC.
That's all, folks! I hope you guys like it.
