2000 Millennium Falcon Upgrade . Today I decided to set a challenge for myself on my 51st birthday. I wanted to see if I could take a 2000 release date edition of the Millennium Falcon and upgrade it into something better. I set 2 restrictions on this build. One, No changing the original LEGO design by complete disassembly. Two.only use parts I had on hand in my inventory, no Bricklink or Pick-a-Brick. I hope that I was successful and that you the LEGO community get as much enjoyment seeing this MOC/MOD upgrade as I had building it. Like and comment both positive and negative, have a great day and keep on Brickin. Jimmie . This is a photo of the instruction manual for the 2000 release of the STAR WARS MILLENNIUM FALCON. I am including this as a reference as to how extensive this set upgrade was using only parts currently in my LEGO inventory. No new parts were ordered from Bricklink for this build. A few different views of the ship. Some detail shots. The interior of the ship Was done in LBG elements, I would have prefered DBG. I just did not have enough on hand to compete the interior to the level that I wanted without resorting to Bricklink' Views of Han's favorite overbore Dennia Quad Cannon's The positioning and spacing of the rear round vents is not perfect, but given the limitations of the upper hull design' I think it is a vast improvement. Of course this is an Episode IV build. Rear of the ship. I also had to get rid of a lot of blue parts in this build. Some I swapped out, others I hid with layering techniques. I wanted to integrate the old grey and LBG & DBG into a reasonably even color scheme. There were Many challenges to upgrading this Falcon. The four piece upper hull and LEGO's limited color pallet to name a couple.
