Renaissance Center, Detroit . microfig scale model of the tallest building in Detroit . The model is about 14 inches (0.45m) tall and is approximately the same scale as my other microscale skyscrapers. It is constructed on an area of 48x64 studs. The iconic Renaissance Center has been the tallest building in Detroit for thirty years. The complex includes four 39 story towers that surround a central 73 story Marriott hotel. At 5.5 million square feet, the Renaissance Center is one of the largest office complexes in the world. 25 Photos on An aerial view of the complex An view looking south from what would be the Detroit River. At this 45 degree angle, one of the smaller towers is obscured from view. Looking straight down shows the layout of the central cylindrical tower and the four smaller surrounding office towers. The main entrance to the Renaissance Center. Visible in the photo is the curving People Mover elevated train track. The riverfront Wintergarden atrium. Inside is a small multi-story shopping complex. The front of the complex facing Jefferson Avenue. The People Mover (Detroit's small elevated train system) has a station that is connected via walkway to the Renaissance Center.
