Bulgarian house from the Rennaisance era . Bulgarian Rennaisance house . A typical Bulgarian house from the Rennaisance era, one of our first creations. We're planning on expanding on this theme and building a small village of Bulgarian Rennaisance houses which of course would be much more intricate and detailed... Not much eye candy to be seen on this set, however it is a good base for further exploration of this theme. In the background you can see a minitower I built out of spare Technic parts years ago... Asya loved it so we decided not to take it apart, besides you can't really use that much Technics parts in a normal house / city, now can you :) Unfortunately, we were out of sloped bricks, so we had to settle for a "combined approach" in order to complete the house's roof. It didn't turn out all that bad, although I must admit it is a bit tacky. Most Bulgarian houses from that time used to have tall walls surrounding them, so using big windows on the first floor was not a very good idea. Instead, it was a rule of the thumb that representative rooms and items be placed on the second floor, where they could receive the proper amount of lighting. To tell you the truth, we didn't really decorate this house, because we were in quite a hurry, but still... It was only fair that we follow the logic and build it the way it is supposed to be.
