The Sibling Rivalry (1): The Battle for Stupid Hill . Why have a battle over a stupid hill? Well, actually, we're still working on that one. (Warning: over 3mb of images) . This is the first Brikwar between my little brother an I. Please sit back and enjoy the destruction! The Sibling Rivalry: The Battle for Stupid Hill 'Twas a nice and cloudy day at the Albanarnian outpost of Stupid Hill. "What is Stupid Hill," you ask? Well, one day the millitary of Albanarn needed a secret outpost located in a remote area. They found a hill. After they hollowed it out for their outpost, they noticed it looked kind of stupid, hence the name "Stupid Hill." Minifigs are very creative, aren't they? Here we see the wonderful landscape, complete with trees and convenient places for enemy troopers to find cover! This is a view of the back of the outpost. Here you can see the many workers and vehicles that work the base. The mech pilot to the right is trying to figure out where in the base to put the robot. Fortunately he will be unable to figure it out, for he might need to use it real soon. Now we get to see the amazing left side of the base! Isn't it wonderful? Hello little person with a ridiculously large gun! You'd think someone would notice the large camera looming over them. Mechanik - "Hey, I'm suprised that no one has used that one incredibly-overused-clich・瘢雹瘢雹瘢雹瘢雹瘢雹瘢雹 "It's quiet... too quiet...'" Trooper - "Hey, don't jynx us, I've only been a trooper a week! I havent even passed the basic weapons course, let alone use this gyro-rifle! I mean, really! How do they expect me to use such an advanced weapon?" Mechanik - "If we ever get attacked... just... just stay away from me... please..." The mech pilot and a medic. The two people who just don't seem to die. Or get hit, even. The fifth annual 30-lap race around Stupid Hill. Seems kind of stupid, huh? Ahhh, the wonders of nature! Such is the serenity of a road that abruptly ends and some forestry conveniently placed for an enemy to take cover in! The true warrior is of one who is one with the flow of energies of nature... and his firearm. "I'd like a number 7 value meal, supersize it..." Wouldn't it be funny if they got attacked from behind? "Aaaaahhh!! Nuclear explosion! ... Never-mind, false alarm. It's only the camera flash again." An overview of the battle area. Click the image for a larger version (148 kb). An overview of Stupid Hill. Click all you want. You won't get a bigger version of this one. Round 1 Finally, Friday, the day of the battle! What a way to start off the weekend! As you can see, a lake has popped up out of nowhere and a giant cat is debating whether or not to "help" with the battle. The bike troopers play chicken. Click the image for a more detailed view of Stupid Hill (248kb). And finally, the enemy approaches! The random mixed up horror! They're even armed with two mini-podmissles! Another view of the insanity! Yoda and Darth Tiranus are fighting side-by-side! Well, not really next to eachother, just on the same side. You know what I mean. Anyways, I wonder why they haven't noticed the cover supplied to them. What a strange army. A bald director is driving what appears to be piloting a mini-hovertank. The first kill of the battle goes to the mech, who stomps the deathgun-slinging skeleton trooper. It got in the way. Why was a chef armed with a stick and a mug in the battle field? Oh, well. The mech got 'im with one of it's MkII Lasers. A trooper gets a lucky shot off his siege rifle. A trooper levels off a shot at Darth Tiranus... ... and shoots the vegitation out from under him! The enemy begins his turn by moving one of his hover-fliers so the pilot can pick up a discarded deathgun and opens fire to the mech. Sadly, he misses and hits the remains his own team member (who got stepped on earlier), who is blasted apart even further. The mechanik makes his way to the crashed hover-flier, but fails to fix anything. The pilot of another hover-flier makes a shot at the mech, but misses so badly that the shot goes clean between the legs of the mech and sets fire to the tree behind it! Yet-another hover-flier fires his MkII laser at a bike trooper. May he rest in peices, if the Medik doesn't make it there in time. Round 2 The second round starts off with a bang! ... and a downed droid hover-flier. A trooper fires at an alien JetEye, but hits a tree instead. A bike-trooper fires at point blank. He misses and hits a flower... ...but the Hover Bike of Doom gets between the mech's legs and blows the tricky bugger's head clean off. A trooper takes aim at the space trooper with the deathgun, but misses and blows off an arm from the mech on his own team! All the remains of an arm and an MkII laser. To comensate for the mech's loss, a trooper shoots the enemy mechanik out of his truck. Harry Potter, who has faced and defeated monsters whose powers exceed these two armies combined, is shot down with a gyro pistol. Also enraged at the mech's loss, an enraged trooper leaps to the top of a tree and fires at the JetEye alien... .. but fails miserably and hits a team member, a pilot, who in the previous turn miraculously survived being shot down in his hover-flier and was on his way back to Stupid Hill. Now it is the enemy's turn! Yoda leaps foward, grabs the MkII Laser lying on the ground and proceeds to shoot the mech with it's own weapon! He scores a hit, but the armor of the mech was too strong. Then to everyone's suprise (at least to that of the minifigs) a pod-missle crashes into the ground! Now the speeder moves forward and blasts the now-exposed Hover Bike of Doom to bits with dual MkII Blasters, flinging the mech, upsidedown, all the way to the bottom of Stupid Hill. Round 3 The mechanik makes it to the downed assult-bubble and attempts to make repairs. The repairs are successful, although it seems that the mechanik has mistaken an enemy pilot's head as a fleebnork power source and attempted to make a bigger weapon with it. Wouldn't it be amazing if any of my troopers could actually hit an enemy? One of the two remaining bike troopers drives up to a JetEye and fires point-blank, hitting a tree behind him. Some cowboy is fending off my mech with a whip... the pilot takes pity in him, but not enough to stomp him and put him out of his misery. Besides, the pilot already stomped the pirate on the hover-flier this turn. The mech pilot instead focuses on someone more of a threat and eliminates Obi Wan. Embarrased by his previous act of blowing off the mech arm, the trooper takes aim at a closer target. This time he hits, and Yoda is downsized. Then it is time... to unleash my secret weapon! It's... ...the Bikebomb!! Armed with an MkI gernade that dentonates on impact, it zooms out into the battlefield! It's a rolling guided missle! A hit is scored on the speeder, killing the pilot and knocking off it's propulsion device! A failed attempt at shooting the evasive JetEye alien leaves a trooper shooting the lake with a seige rifle, which then bursts into flame. Another attack to the JetEye alien merely hits a tree, which knocks him back toward the cloud car. The JetEye alien then leaps into the cockpit of the clod car and takes off! After picking up his friend, Darth Tiranus, he fires a shot at the mech. He missed, but the cowboy was finally put out of his misery. New here's a strange craft. This flier flies out over the lake, and shoots the trooper out of the tree! ... Well, half of him at least. Oh, well. Thats what he gets for shooting his own team mate. Seriously, I would not be that happy if I were just blown in half by that huge laser battery. The alien on the hover-flier fires at the mech, but hits a pirate on his team instead. The JetEye slashes at the bike-trooper who shot at him and cuts his head off. The JetEye shoves out the body and hops on a amoving vehicle! The destruction at the end of round 3. The enemy has not yet made it to Stupid Hill, but they have managed to kill one of the troopers on it. If you look closely, you can see the medic failing to save the Hover Bike of Doom's pilot (other side of palm tree, near the bikebomb). Round 4 The round begins as the mech shoots down the cloudcar, and its pilots being picked off by troopers. The repairs are successful, although it seems that the mechanik has mistaken an enemy pilot's head as a fleebnork power source and attempted to make a bigger weapon with it. The bikebomb has picked his target! He flings himself with his bike at the flier that parked over the lake! It's a hit! The flier explodes! Friend and foe alike cheer at the fiery scene! A bike trooper picks off the last of the JetEye. Something even Darth Vader couldn't do. Now the mechanik decides to attack... The space trooper with the death gun is finally hit. The last pod-missle crashes into the ground, killing dead stuff! Thus begins and ends the fifth round. All that is left of the enemy is a single hover-flier... ... and he's dead. The end of the battle for Stupid Hill. Somehow Stupid Hill was not hit by anything, remained undamaged throughout the whole battle, and no enemy ever set foot on it. Only one trooper died while on it. Click the above image to see all the pictures taken after the battle was over. See the Incredible Tower of Dice! (Which , sadly, was utterly destroyed by a bikebomb pilot who got distracted and crashed into it)
