Roman Trireme/Quinquereme . The Roman war ship patrols the English chanel and is loaded with 30 Roman Legions ready to do battle. Down bellow deck are the slaves pulling hard on the oars to get the ship moving. The ship is nearly 45m long and 6m wide. At the front is a big battering ram used in sea battles. This model is built to 1:44 scale. . The ship with the complete hull. View below deck looking at the slaves working hard. View from the stern. Another view from the stern. Close up of the stern from the side. View from the side. View from the front. Close up of the front and the battering ram. Close up of the side with the Roman legions ready for action. View of the rear section with the Roman legions in formation. The Romans chase down a Viking long ship in the fogging English Channel. The Romans close in on the Viking long ship. The oars from both ship get tangled as the ships make contact. Battle begins as the Vikings rush on to the Roman ship, thankfully the fog has lifted now… After taking a big beating the Vikings do a runner. The Romans have only suffered one lose, one man overboard and damage to the sail at the bow.
