London Transport Class 5700 Steam Locomotive . . This is my MOC of a GWR Class 5700 0-6-0, in London Transport livery. A number of these locos were bought from GWR in the 1950s for general duties, and repainted in LT dark red. These were the last steam locomotives on the Underground. This model has the front wheelset hinged, to fit around Lego train track curves, and it is not connected to the body above it. The tank is made in two similar sections - the top half and the bottom half, the latter being inverted and held in place internally. The loco can push or pull and it has proven itself reliable (i.e. sturdy and not self-derailing) at several displays this year. These three pics show the loco at the Brickish event 'GWLS VI' at the STEAM Museum, Swindon, October'08, on my layout. This shows the loco at the Brickish display at Legoland Windsor in May'08, on GWLTC metals. This shows the loco at the London Transport Museum Depot 'LT in Miniature' event in March'08, on my layout.
