working full auto machine gun . An electric machine gun that fires lego bricks (very quickly) . out of all of the things that i have ever made, this definitely has to be one of the best and most satisfying. the reason: i have finally created a working full auto machine gun that fires lego bricks!!!!!! features: working full auto working safety catch 20-brick magazine (undetachable) two grips - front (vertical) and rear (pistol) detachable stock is really really fun to fire!! the basic idea is this: a big wheel with elasticated teeth spins at a high rpm. bullets (bricks) are fed onto it via a magazine, until the top one touches the "drum" part of the wheel. as this is smooth, the brick doesnt move until one of the teeth comes round and hooks onto the back. the rubber band on the tooth stretches (as the brick cant go forward as there is something blocking it) until the actual tooth (which keeps moving) hits a lever, which releases the thing that is blocking the brick, which flies off from the force of the rubber band. this happens 3 times every rev of the wheel, as there are three elasticated teeth. the two motors are powered by 18v (each) from a transformer connecting two battery boxes together, which is all hidden in the big black box at the back. this is probably not a great explination, so a video of the gun in action can be seen here pics: the gun the gun, empty mag the gun, stock removed the back of the gun the stock empty mag what to do so you can load it (see vid for more info) inner workings more inner workings safety catch (safe) ready to fire looking down the "barrel", you can see the shooting wheel well, that just about all there is to it. tell me what you think!
