Yokosuka MXY7 (WWII Aircraft Contest WINNER!!!) . This is my submission for David's World War Two Jet Contest. This is a Japanese rocket plane. David, you didn't specify German, so here's something you may not have seen before! The Yokosuka MXY-7 Ohka, (櫻花 "cherry blossom", Hebon-shiki transcription Ōka, ) was a purpose-built, rocket powered human-guided anti-shipping suicide missile employed by Japan towards the end of World War II The original version of this aircraft was a one-way aircraft, period. Even the Japanese people found the aircraft's single intent so repulsive, that under pressure, later variants included landing gear in case the pilot 'missed' the target. ***UPDATE*** This MOC has indeed won the contest it was submitted in! Thank you for all the comments! . The stem on the front was a detonator that caused it to explode on impact. Note the single rocket engine, only enough fuel for a few minutes of flight. The Cherry Blossom is supported on pre-flight cart for delivery to the mothership.
