Colt M2009 . A custom 9mm handgun. . This is a custom handgun I built after trying to build a Colt M1911. The handle turned out alright, but I couldn't get enough funtionality in the model and still have it resemble an M1911 so I just made a custom gun. M2009 for model-year 2009 and I only decided to call it a Colt because it started out as one. There is no visible hammer because it uses an internal striker simlar to Glock handguns. The slide can move back and forth, but it isn't a smoth motion and there is too much friction for a spring or rubberband to snap it back. The trigger moves and the magazine inserts into the handle. I added mounting rails to the front of the slide and a fixed scope/sight to the rear. I was going for a futuristic look, but I think it came out a little goofy looking. The rear of the slide is too rounded and I don't like that "hump". Not great, not terrible. Let me know what you think. Slide forward. Slide pulled back. Trigger assembly. Down the hi-vis sight. Ejection port "closed". Ejection port "open". Sight assembly Decocked with mag removed.
